Individual Therapy

My overall aim is to provide you with a warm, supportive, non-judgemental environment where you can connect with your deeper feelings, making sense and working through them whilst not being alone. I help you to explore issues from the past and the present that are causing you distress so that you can then work through them to create positive change.

How I Work

Having trained as an integrative therapist, I can draw on different therapeutic approaches to suit you. You may choose cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) as a more immediate approach to change unhelpful thinking and behaviours or you may choose counselling/psychotherapy to create long term change for deep rooted problems from your past.

During the initial session we explore your reasons for seeking counselling, what you want to gain from the sessions and how we can work together. You may be struggling with

  • Bereavement loss or grief
  • Feeling lonely and isolated
  • Panic attacks
  • Phobias and obsessions
  • Relationship breakdown and divorce
  • Relationship issues
  • Feeling unhappy in your body and dysmorphia
  • Feelings of rejection and shame
  • Self harm
  • Sleep problems
  • Work place issues or redundancy
